Gateway Legal Placements was founded by Arthur Polott, Esq.
Mr. Polott was brought to the Washington area to join the DC office of a leading nation-wide legal staffing and placement company. He was the winner of that firm’s local and national performance awards every year he was there – 7 years in a row.
Before beginning his career in the legal search industry, Mr. Polott practiced Commercial and Civil Litigation law at Boyar & Miller and Hirsch Sheiness & Garcia, P.L.L.C., in Houston, Texas. He also certified to mediate Civil Law and EEOC matters. Mr. Polott clerked with Judge Lynn N. Hughes of the United States District Court in Houston and with the 157th Civil District Court.
Mr. Polott holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Government and Slavic Studies from The University of Texas at Austin (1992) and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Case Western Reserve University School of Law (1996) in Cleveland. He was President of the Student Bar Association at CRWU. Born in Moscow, Russia he speaks fluent Russian.
Mr. Polott serves on the Board of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC). He is an active member of the Ethics Committee. Mr. Polott served on the regional board of the Anti-Defamation League and of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington, where he also served as Board Chair. He also served on the Executive Board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington from 2005-08 and 2018-20. He remains an active supporter of these and other important organizations.
